Westland Lynx

The Westland Lynx is British-built helicopter. It was originally designed as a utility craft, but battlefield and naval variants were developed, and the helicopter exported to over a dozen countries.

After performing well during the Falklands War, the Lynx saw combat for the second time during the Gulf War. Six Royal Navy Lynx helicopters on four Royal Navy frigates saw combat, and achieved 15 Iraqi ship kills (many of which were by Sea Skua missiles), at least 5 of the kills being attributable to a single helicopter (Lynx 335 of HMS Cardiff).
